Two PDX fav EDM venues closing? 😭 Afterlife has announced on social media they are "temporarily closed" with few details provided. BeatOutlaws threw at least one "BeatOutlaws Happy Hour" at Afterlife, a swanky mid-sized spot on SE Hawthorne. Back2Earth, one of Portland's favorite gay bars announced they will be permanently closing 6-28-26. Both venues were known for great vibes and a variety of different EDM genres, especially house music.
Hopefully Afterlife will be back soon? Saw Endi Mienne play there for her birthday just a few weeks ago. And Chaach's recurring Thursday Open Decks there was always a fun excuse to go get a glass of wine and shake my thing.

Awww, drove by Afterlife and it's def not coming back, at least not at that location. sad
