Soul’d Out Productions presents Pahua at Star Theater on October 3.
Mexican singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ Paulina Sotomayor—known professionally as Pahua—has become one of the leading voices in contemporary Latin electronic music. Combining electronic production with folkloric influences, organic percussion, Afro-Latin rhythms, and captivating vocals, Pahua creates a vibrant and immersive sound that celebrates connection, self-discovery, nature, and movement.
Formerly a member of the acclaimed electro-Latin trio Sotomayor, Pahua launched her solo career to explore a more personal and expansive artistic vision. Since then, she has earned international recognition for her genre-defying approach, blending folktronica, alternative electronic music, Latin rhythms, and live instrumentation into a sound that is both innovative and deeply rooted in tradition.
Her acclaimed album 'Cerca del Lugar' introduced audiences to a rich sonic world where dance music meets storytelling, while her latest 2026 releases continue to push her creative boundaries even further. Whether performing at major festivals or intimate venues, Pahua has built a reputation for dynamic live shows that transform the dance floor into a celebration of rhythm, culture, and community.
Opening the show is Colectivo Cenizas.
