Mia Koden returns to Process for her second residency night of the year, and this time she's bringing Illian Tape label-mate and bestie re:ni with her all the way from London for her Portland/Process debut. Get ready for a wild ride with these two playing b2b all night long!
We’re still ‘processing’ the magic from the residency night ... If you weren’t there, you’ll have a second chance to witness something truly special. The vibes were immaculate, and Mia Koden took us on a tour through so many different flavors of dance music across the gorgeous 5hr set. Process fam, y’all really showed up that night, so thanks for bringing the love and energy to make that night so memorable
And we cannot stress this enough: Do not sleep on getting presale tickets. The first night sold out very quickly, and tix are moving very fast for this one!
About re:ni
re:ni is the alias of Lauren Reni Bush, a DJ & producer based in South East London. re:ni's sub-heavy sound marries deep, dank dub sonics with dark & twisted mutations of techno, jungle and dubstep, characteristic of her label, party and radio show "re:lax" which she runs with Hessle Audio affiliate Laksa. Following her steady rise as an internationally recognised DJ, having played institutions like De School, fabric and Panorama Bar multiple times, re:ni released her debut 12" Revenge Body on Ilian Tape in 2022. Since then she has put out records on Timedance as well as her first 12" on her own imprint and a return to Ilian Tape via a collaboration with her father BiggaBush.
A few words from Mia Koden about the night, and some history about her and re:ni's friendship:
We met on the plane to Outlook Festival in 2011 and have been friends ever since, and now live together in Croydon! We initially bonded over a shared love of bass heavy sounds like dubstep and drum and bass but there's actually loads of overlap in our music taste beyond "bass"; RnB, house, hip hop etc - anything with soul and groove. We both went to uni in London and I remember running away from a uni freshers event to meet her at Fabric for a Hessle Audio night; we've had many many music moments together since then, including plenty at Fabric where we both worked for a bit, also Corsica Studios, Cable, countless festivals and house parties etc. We've grown, loved, lost, found, so much together! For our first ever all night long b2b at Process expect tunes with lotssss of groove and big basslines; we won't be afraid to go deep, and of course we'll show you round some of the sounds that have soundtracked our many years together <3
