A three-time Blues Music Award nominee, Ben Rice has earned recognition as one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier blues and roots artists. Known for his expressive guitar playing, soulful vocals, and compelling songwriting, Rice has spent years expanding beyond traditional blues into a sound that incorporates soul, R&B, Americana, folk, and country influences. Whether performing intimate ballads or driving grooves, his music is rooted in storytelling, emotion, and connection.
In 2023, Rice launched The PDX Hustle, a horn-powered ensemble that elevates his music with dynamic arrangements, vocal harmonies, piano, organ, and deep-pocket rhythm sections. Together, the group delivers an energetic live experience that captures the spirit of classic soul revues while showcasing Rice’s distinctive songwriting and musicianship.
The performance also celebrates Rice’s latest album, *Fallen Angel* (2025), a record that highlights both his evolution as an artist and the resilience that has defined his career.
